• Sun protection creams – it is best and recommended to start with high UVF and to change to lower UVF gradually.
  • Oil – if your skin is not sensitive after a few days in the sun you can apply oil on your skin; there are different kinds; olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, baby oil etc.
  • Aftersun cream – the skin gets very dry from the sun, so you need to apply moisturizers for dry skin. You should also bring Aloe Vera gel if you need to cool your skin after the sun.
  • Books and music, ipads etc if you like listening to music in your room. TV channels are not as plentiful as at home so downloaded movies are always good to have.
  • Swimsuit – just be aware that the water in the sea is very salty and it can ruin the fabrics. It is therefore recommended not to bring your favorite swimsuit to the beach although you can use it in the pool.
  • Sunglasses
  • Flip flops
  • A light wrap or shawl – it is usually warm weather at night, but you might find yourself cold in the dining room air-condition.
  • Sim Card – although most hotels have free Wi Fi, check in advance with your phone company the rates of operating the phone in Israel. You can also get a sim card with a local number in Israel or bring a mifi unit and insert a data card. Steimatzky’s in the airport provide all of these.
  • You will need beach clothes for breakfast (shorts, t-shirts etc). The evenings are not dressy, but most people like to be a little smarter wearing nice tops and jeans or similar (especially the women 😉

Forgot something?? Never mind, there are local shops, which offer almost everything you need.
